- I love to shop, have stoop sales (yard sales everywhere else outside of Brooklyn), and find buried treasures at 99 cent stores, thrift stores, flea markets, and consignment shops. I also love writing about entertainment and pop culture. So through this blog I want to share my combined passions for bargain shopping and pop culture with fellow shop-and-pop-aholics. For my livelihood (until I find a way to make a living by shopping), I'm an online music editor for Barnes & Noble.com, a freelance writer for Am NewYork, the Village Voice, the Associated Press, and Essence magazine. For about a year I was a freelance reporter for PEOPLE Magazine, and I've also written for the New York Daily News and Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Vibe, Billboard, and Time Out New York magazines.

hi tracy, I live in NJ and NY isn't far at all. I really want to go to a freeswap and check out some of the salvation armies in BK where you can buy stuff by the pounds (that's what I heard). Could you recommend some places, please!!!!
